A Sacred Invitation
Chadhavo — The Honor of Giving
For the first time in our Sangh’s history, we open this opportunity to every heart — near and far.
In Jain tradition, Chadhavo is not simply a donation — it is the honor a devotee earns to become part of something eternal. When a Derasar rises, every pillar, every stone, every meal served in its Bhojanshala carries the merit of those who made it possible. New Alkapuri Shwetamber Murtipujak Jain Sangh now begins that journey. And for the first time, we are opening it beyond our own community — to our entire global family. Whether you live minutes from this punya bhoomi or an ocean away, this is your opportunity to place your family’s name upon something that will outlast us all.
This is not a transaction. It is a Chadhavo — an offering, an honor, a once-in-a-lifetime participation in dharma.
The Tradition
What Is a Chadhavo?
In Jain communities, the honor of sponsoring a ritual or a part of a temple has long been offered through Ghee Boli — a respectful, transparent bidding for the privilege of giving. This is not because devotion can be purchased. It is because when many hearts want the same honor, this is how a Sangh has always decided fairly, together, in full view of everyone.
What we are opening today is the first step of that journey — not the fundraiser itself, but the chance to raise your hand. Register your interest now, and when the formal Chadhavo begins, you will be among the first families we come to.
The Teaching
Four Daan, Five Segments
Jainism teaches four classical forms of Daan — giving that asks for nothing in return. Every segment of this Sangh is a living expression of one of these.
Ahar Daan
The gift of food, offered without condition.
Gyan Daan
The gift of knowledge, passed forward.
Abhay Daan
The gift of refuge and freedom from fear.
Aushadh Daan
The gift of care and wellbeing.
Where Your Chadhavo Goes
Choose the Segment Closest to Your Heart
Tap a segment below to mark your interest — it will carry through to the form at the end of this page. You may select more than one.
Bhoomi Daata
Land Donor
For those who wish to give toward the land itself — the very first, most urgent need, on which everything else will rise.
Derasar
Ratnatraya, in Stone
The sanctum itself — where Samyak Darshan becomes visible worship, every day.
Spiritual Center
Abhay Daan
A refuge of stillness — for the Bhaktamar Stotra, Samayik, and a quiet mind.
Education Center
Gyan Daan
A classroom, library, or learning space — so Jainism is understood, not just inherited.
Upashray
Dignity in Shelter
A home worthy of Gurubhagwant, who renounced all shelter so we could learn.
Sattvik Bhojanshala
Ahar Daan
The seva of pure food, offered to every visitor without asking.
Selecting a segment here does not commit you to anything — it simply tells us where your heart leans.
Why This Moment Matters
Something Beautiful Is Being Built — and the Journey Has Begun
Every sacred space that now stands as a place of peace once began exactly where we stand today — with a vision, a prayer, and a handful of devoted hearts willing to give first. That moment has arrived for New Alkapuri Shwetamber Murtipujak Jain Sangh, and our Chadhavo begins now. Every family who steps forward at this moment is not adding to something already complete — they are among the very first hands to shape it. There is a difference between inheriting a legacy and creating one. This is your chance to create one.
“The merit of a Chadhavo is not measured by its size, but by the sincerity with which it is offered.”
Near or Far
A Global Family, One Sangh
Distance has never determined devotion. This Sangh belongs as much to a family in New Jersey, London, or Nairobi as it does to one in Vadodara. For the first time, we are asking every one of you, wherever you are, to be part of the first names in this story — to bring change to this Sangh, and let this Sangh bring you home to it.
